Reminds me of telling a good friend in the Program, when i was at 11 months, that I had completed my 4th Step, he asked about the 5th step and got a real blank stare from me, didnot know for certain who I wanted to do the 5th Step with.
He put his hands on my Shoulders, and looked me in the face, about 1 inch from my face, and Said "Toni, take the 5th, or you're going Drink a Fifth"
Scared the living daylights out of me, so I did it the very next day with an AA Coucellor.
Never forgot that, makes me smile when i think of all the wisdsom that people in the rooms have, and sometimes they only reveal that wisdom, when needed.
Big important issue, Don't dangle around when you have done your fourth Step, What's that old Jerry Rubin saying "JUST DO IT!!!!!"
Thanks for the reminder, i am beginning a formal redoing of all 12 steps with this Workbook I have used in the past, every step is a very long work sheet, very involved, and when I get to the 4th Step, and do it, this will serve as a Great reminder to me. Thanks.
I'm working on my Step 4 and I've just been listening over the Internet to a few audio files from Joe and Charlie's Big Book Study. Just sitting back and listening has helped me enormously. Now, I really do want to work my hardest at it. It's a GREAT feeling. I just had to share that!!!
Take care,
Carol (AKA Q)
