Good evening. To the new people: Welcome, To everyone else: Apologies for my absence.
Drunkenness is a self fulfilling condition: You can't be normal without drink............. I took the time out from work.
This for me is the third (or forth) attempt at sobriety............ it feels good so far.

It was good to read that your sobriety is feeling good for you this time. I lost count of the number of attempts I made before finally getting it. But, keep going. You're doing GREAT!
Take care,
Carol

I was just FORUNATE to have lost a wonderfully-workaholicky job, and I have never felt better. Yes, need to find alternate employment, but I think this happened for a reason. I tend to get complacent in my recovery when I get whacko-involved in a job and it takes up, oh, say 55 hours or so of my time a week. I need my meetings and the energy to focus on doing SOMETHING for my recovery every day... Dunno if this relates to you or not, just a little processing of my own experiences, since you did mention work.
Come to think of it, a couple of months ago I was feeling very squirrelly and bringing home work every night, burning the candle too much, and the thought crossed my mind, "Tell your boss you need to dial-back a bit, or find something else..." I am a sick person and a people-pleaser and never did end up sticking up for myself, but God, in His Infinite Wisdom, did it FOR ME.... LOL Yay Higher Power!!!!
Best of luck to you and looking forward to seeing your posts here!!!
