Good Sober Sunday Morning

Hi everyone........I haven't been posting lately but have been reading whenever I get a free moment.  Life is a little nutty right now.  Since my last drunk May 30th my husband was ready to pack up and leave..........I started going to meetings everyday, which causes stress at home as well.  I have been doing ALOT of praying and talking with my sponsor and other alcoholics.  I am working toward balance.  My husband and I finally sat down and talked about this whole thing.  He is, of course, very hurt and angry but our talk was good and I felt such a relief from it.  I feel like I might be on the right path this time.  My Higher Power is working in my life today through the people in the meetings and you people here as well.

I am grateful to be sober today.  I've just been focusing on one day at a time and trying to stay in the now.  Gotta get out of my head and into reality.

Thanks for all of the great posts on here.  You have no idea how much they have helped me this past week!  Have a great Sunday!

Jen

Good morning Jen.  And a happy sober Sunday to you, too.

Here's a prayer that you can string many more happy sober days together.

Hi Jen,

Good to hear all the good news. The first part of this Program has never come easy for us, and those with family.

It really does get better, and then it gets So Much Better.

In all stages of Recovery, we always have the Gift of Hope with us, to carry us through those bumps.

So happy to hear that you and your husband got through one of those bumps.

And just like Dan said, here's a Prayer that those days just keep getting strung together, like putting pearls on a string. Thanks to our Higher Power, we have that 1st Step to rest in, while we do this hard work.

Hugs, Toni

Glad to hear from you Jen. 11 days sober? Meetings every day? Communication with your husband?

Sounds really good to me! Keep it up. Happy to see you posting!

Thanks guys!  The support is much appreciated!

Another sober day for me today.  Will be working on remodeling our bathroom after work today so that should keep me busy!
