hi this is my first post, not sure how it all works , i live in scotland and regularly attend meetings i have been sober for 8 months 1daat. and truly believe AA to be the best thing ever to come into my life.i regularly give myself problems to learn from and have never been let down by the twelve step programme.Opportunities for growth as my sponsor calls them.just saying hello and glad to be here and truly gratefull to be sober

Hello! I am right behind you with 6 1/2 months. I havent actually practiced the steps yet--except step one but I too think this program is wonderful! I havent yet figured out my higher power thing--I do know its not me though! My favorite part is the promises & the moment I heard them the first time, I knew I wanted what they said--well, I know have them & couldnt be happier--Im just waiting for the next step to kick in so I can move forward--although I do know as long as Im coming to meetings & not drinking I can stay at step one for the next 5 yrs if I have to.
