How to properly pack fragile items when moving

Hey everyone, Im moving next month and honestly a bit nervous about my glassware and some old collectibles. I tried wrapping plates in newspaper last time and a few got scratched, so Im looking for a better way. Does anyone have tips for keeping fragile stuff safe during a move? I dont want to end up with broken dishes or ruined memories again.

Oh, I totally get you! Last year I moved across the city and ended up using a combo of bubble wrap and small boxes, and it made a huge difference. I also found a really helpful guide on how to pack fragile items for moving that gave tips on layering, cushioning, and labeling boxes clearly. I even used some old towels and socks to fill empty space, and nothing got damaged. Definitely worth checking out before you start packing.

Ive noticed that people often underestimate how long it takes to organize a move. Even for just sorting through old clothes and books, it can take way longer than expected. Planning ahead and making a small checklist for each room usually helps me stay on track and avoid last-minute chaos.
