So NOW it's called 'Alcohol Use Disorder'? ... LOL ... and not alcoholism ... It amazes me to see others try to 'play down' this disease, or maybe it's just the Media ... Alcoholism is a very serious problem ... I know, they said it will kill you but how many alcoholics saw this and opened the bottle anyway ... don't forget they are, and we were, 'morally and spiritually bankrupt' ... and unable to bring to mind with sufficient consciousness, the gravity of our situation ...

Thanks Pickle and God Bless,
Pappy

Why am I not surprised at the title of this thread? These insane times demand the termination of our sobriety and well being. We must remain ever vigilant.

it makes sense that it's on the rise. With the sheer amount of ways to get loaded nowadays, most have been warned to stay away from the harder stuff but alcohol warnings do not get as much attention. To an impressionable mind that means...bottoms up!
So what I think gets amplified with the times are the Cunning, Baffling, Powerful, aspect of it. It is getting ever increasingly easier to become an alcoholic because it doesn't have the stage presence as other substances
Until it's too late...
