'Course, Buckybear. When I do "prayer" for something, part of the ritual of it (for me)  is to insert "if this is the right job for me (or whatever I'm asking for), and may I accept the outcome with acceptance, peace and strength". I will be happy to do so during my evening devotions.  Blessings, Wren

Hi, Bear.

Good luck with the interview, I do agree with Wren, If the job is right for you, you will get it. Life seems to work like that.

Best wishes

Chris.

Hi Buckeye,

I hope you won't mind, but I'm quoting a few affirmations from a source I've found useful to me. All the best to you.

Employment
Right and perfect employment is seeking me. Thank You, God!
If I am seeking employment, I envision the perfect and right position also seeking me. It calls to me--as a job or career in which I give my best and receive my best.
My confidence about the possibilities grows. I hear myself saying, "Yes, this is it! A perfect fit!" I picture a smile on the face of the person hiring me. I hear the confirmation: "We've been waiting for you. You're hired, because you are the right person for this job, and the job is right for you."
Whatever my current work is or whatever capacity I explore in the future, I know it is an outlet through which I give expression to my God-given skills and talents. My right and perfect place is where I contribute, learn, and grow. It is where I am prospered and fulfilled as I both give and receive.
I am in my right and perfect place!

"David had success in all his undertakings; for the Lord was with him."--1 Samuel 18:14

I am worthy of and grateful for enjoyable, fulfilling employment.
I can choose to enjoy fulfilling, stress-free working conditions regardless of my age or whether I am employed at a paying job or a volunteer position. By bringing a new, positive approach to my job or career, I leave stress behind. As I bring a sense of meaning, enjoyment, and fulfillment to my workday, I feel energized.
Having a job I love to do is a wonderful way to eliminate stress, and this is my birthright as a child of God. I am worthy of a career that allows me to give meaningful service to individuals and to my community and to feel a sense of soul satisfaction for the good I am sharing with others.
I am abundantly blessed as I trust in the prospering power of God to support me in making meaningful contributions every day.

“Render service with enthusiasm ...knowing that whatever good we do, we will receive the same again from the Lord.”—Ephesians 6:7-8

I am patient in this time of change, knowing my future is in God’s care.
Finding the most fulfilling work for me might mean being willing to let go of a position that no longer serves me or one in which I can no longer serve effectively. The end of one form of employment might mean that I need to be available for a better opportunity. As I pray for improvements in my work situation, I realize that things may need to shift and change for those improvements to take place in my life. Patience is key in any time of change, including a change of employment. While I patiently await new opportunities, I bless my current job situation for the education and advancement it has brought me. I trust that my future is in God’s care.

“The human mind may devise many plans, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established.” —Proverbs 19:21

Prosperity
God's love prospers me. I am blessed with abundant good.
When I am quiet and centered, I hear an invitation of love: Come, draw from a wellspring of good. There is no limit to the good that God has prepared for me.
The thoughts I hold in mind are ones of love, both given and received; of gratitude, expressed and accepted; of wisdom, embraced and shared. Nourished by my faith, I understand that these are divine ideas that guide me in experiencing fulfilling relationships, meaningful employment, comfortable surroundings, and reliable transportation.
I move through this day and the days ahead with purpose: I gratefully accept God's prospering love and all the varied and enriching ways it comes to me. God has created a world of plenty, an abundance that is for all and to be shared by all.

"The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it."
--Proverbs 10:22

The abundance of God flows in and through my life. I am prospered.
I am blessed with an abundance of God's good--a limitless storehouse of blessings. I now claim the good that is present in every area of my life and share it with others.
As I both accept and give from this abundance, I contribute to and receive from a circulation of good. My prosperity takes many forms, tangible and intangible. I give financially, and more comes to me. I express love, and love returns to me through many different people and situations. Helping friends to find employment, I find my own career is blessed. I bring peace and understanding to my relationships, and harmony fills my life.
I make room for my good, and prosperity flows to me and through my life. Blessed with overflowing abundance, I am prospered.

"If they listen, and serve him, they complete their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasantness."
--Job 36:11

ya got some good shares there.... all I can add is  'do your best and God does the rest'.

I have, in my life, tried very hard to make plans,,   to find my niche,,   to get into career fields,,,,,  and failed at all the ones I really really wanted.  but looking back now,,, to 30 years ago when I was 20,,,  I can see that those really weren't for me,,  and that God has led me to where I am now,,,  this town,,,  the work that I do.  It is not routine but it is where I am supposed to be. One thing that I practice now,,,  is to be grateful for where I am at the present moment. Thank you, God, that I am right here, right now.  Then I do my Step 11 - trying to know God's will for the next moment, and to do it,,,,,  and trust that things are unfolding as they should. Similar to what wren does,, and hanuman.

I will keep you in prayer, too. I have all o y'all in prayer now anyway.

love in recovery,

amanda
