Hey Baba . I had driven to Adelaide from Melbourne overnight , it is about 8hr drive . Had a couple of hours sleep before dawn.

Wanting to go from the s/e to North of Adelaide , I cut across a backroad , around the city. Driving into the village of Gumeracha,

I noticed this Big rocking horse . I thought "that's as scarce as rocking-horse s**t" , looked down to see if there was any "brown stuff"

on th ground , then laughed my head off at myself for ten minutes . Yep , I had been sober or 3yrs and Not on any "drivers assistance

programme". Still have a chuckle to myself when I think of this.

Here in the American southwest (mostly southern California and Arizona), we have a long history of these types of weird and quirky 'roadside attractions'.

Try a Google image search on the phrase 'route 66 roadside attraction' and you'll get all sorts of odd stuff. Like these:

The first photo is cultural and can be seen as offensive when adding the remarks...don't see what it or some of the others have to do with sanity and sobriety. Moving on .. hmm
