My name is JohnR . I got sober in Sydney in 96. I live & work in Sydney & Still Enjoy getting to Regular meetings.

I do lots of meetings around the city area, although I live, just on 9 mile(15k) from the city.

I am looking forward to getting to know you & assist where I can, as I know you will try to assist me, where you can.

Thank you Pappy. I like to think of myself as "green" in AA. I don't know everything "yet", so there Is still room for growth.

I've seen the first two Dundee movies he did with Linda Koslowski but am not familiar with the Hoges character.

Hoges was a bit like us Marc.

We all had to start with One day. Well , Hoges went on a tv show called New Faces, in Sydney.

His skit , he lashed out at th judges . and Won . Was soon appearing on variety shows , then got his own show.

Maybe if you 'google' or search Paul Hogan on youtube you may come up with some of his antics.

Yes it is sad when one of us pick up a drink. I do Appreciate the people who come back & tell us,

we can no longer drink safely. Yes , your own experiences Will help you , along with regular meetings.

I am new to this board too, but I am getting So much out of it as well , so you can "bounce off us" as well.

I have been checking in here first thing of a morning since I discovered it , it "sets" me up for 'my day'.

Many of us here have had periods of sober time and then stopped go'n to meet'ns or just stopped work'n the program, and we found ourselves right back in trouble, again ... so you'll fit right in here ... let us know if you're have'n troubles of some kind and we'll help you work your way through them .... you ARE NOT ALONE ... we can do this together ...

 I googled 'Hoges' and found something about Aussie Kids making sandwiches. :)

Then I googled 'John Freifeld' and found something about a Clan and a rape in Wilmington.

It is the internet so I wonder if it is fact or fiction.
