The Ham

Hey guys.....I took what was left of our holiday ham (spiral sliced) and mixed a couple of potatoes, canned corn and green beans in an electric cooker.

It is kind of hard for me to cut off what's left of the ham from the bone--messy, too. So after a couple of hours, most of the ham fell off the bone and flavored up the vegees.

I have in the past, thrown out the bone with ham left on it--too lazy to cut it off, and by the time there wasn't a lot left, I was kind of sick of ham. We had a lot of ham and , and sliced ham with side dishes. I almost threw the rest out the other day, and decided to throw it in my cooker with the other things. I gotta tell you, it ended up being pretty tasty!

Just wanted to share.

Rose loves when we have ham, or turkey for that matter, cause she gets a fair amount of left-overs and or a bone to chew on ... I know, I know, it's probably not good for her, but I just can't say no to those 'plead'n' eyes, they cut right through me, LOL ...

I was the same way with my doggies, Pappy.....I just didn't feel right stuffing my face full of turkey and ham and my babies not getting any. I spoiled them rotten! Also about lost a couple of digits with my min pin (who had a Doberman complex--thought she was one!). Of course I had well-meaning friends tell me "You better stop feeding those dogs people food! They're gonna get the s**** and you're gonna have to clean it up. Well they did get the s***** and I did have to clean it up. (Hey! The same thing happens to me if I eat too much, too....

Ha! ... the first time I gave Rose some turkey, a few years ago, I way overdid it ... and I never did get all of that poop outta the carpet ... so I let her have some now, but way up on the 'moderation' scale, LOL ... when she has turkey in front of her, she's like us alkies, she doesn't know when to stop ... and like you, I learned my lesson, the hard way ...

hummm, humor, good ...
