Last night's meeting.

I went to a meeting last evening.   I am at a place that I didn't want to go, but I needed to go.   So  I went.

Well, it was one of the best meetings that I ever went to.   I am sure you all know what I mean.  

I just had to share  this with everyone here.   Oh I also learned something from  EVERYONE who shared.   It was a wonderful meeting.

Good for you, LM. Listening to and learning from shares is the main reason I go to meetings.

Good morn'n LauraM, ...

I can't tell you how many times the exact same thing has happened to me ... didn't want to go, did, and very grateful for it ...


Early in sobriety, I had gotten a little complacent and skipped a meeting, it was raining I think ... I was master at making excuses ... well my sponsor called me and asked where I was last night, I said I didn't feel like go'n ... he said 'Well, you missed it!!!' ... I asked 'What'd I miss???' ... he said "I don't know, but you missed it!!!" ... I said, 'What the hell you talk'n 'bout???, Weren't you there???' ... he said 'yeah, I heard what I was supposed to hear, but we'll never know what it was YOU were supposed to hear!!!' ... then I thought, damn, you gotta go every night or you'll miss it!!!' ...    whisper.gif
