I laid to rest my 14 year old beagle today . I haven't felt this crappy in a longggg time. I know tomorrow will be a better day, just for today I don't take a drink. Wagon
"Just to the extent that we do as we think He would have us, and humbly rely on Him, does He enable us to match calamity with serenity." Pg 68 AA book.
This statement in the book has been so true for me, with challenges I have never experienced before.
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I'm glad you had the opportunity for happy years together. Dogs leave paw prints on our hearts! ((((Hugs)))) and condolences,
I too, am sorry to hear of your loss Wagon ... my Rose (part Bassett, Jack, and Pit) is laying beside me as I type this message ... if I could only be the person she thinks I am, the world would be a better place!!! ... the only time she leaves my side is if a cat should cross our paths ... (she doesn't like cats as much as I do, LOL) ...
May God Bless you Wagon, Pappy

I also hated changes I had no control over...still do yet Dr. BoB of p449 of the thrird edition taught me, "I have come to understand that acceptance is the solution of all of my problems" and that has worked for since the first night I read it. My pups are still going and so am I for now.
