I need friends, I drink because I have no one, every friend I had died in the war, or hung himself, I feel lost.

Welcome Wolfy!  Glad to have you here with us.  Meeting attendance would be a good start.  There, you'll find folks just like you.  People who share a common problem, but have a common solution.  They'll love you until you can love yourself.

Welcome wolfy....Your story sounds just like mine. I got to the point I couldn't live in that isolation and misery anymore. I looked at it like this....These people in AA figured out how to get out of this mess before it kills me. I think I'm going to ask them how they did it. Stck around here....Go to some meetings.....Ask some questions. I'm glad you're here.

Welcome Wolfy,

Been there, and done that. By coming here, you've found the solution or at least people who can point you to it. Find some AA meetings, start going (get there 20 minutes early and leave late so you can get to know people). They'll show you the next step.

Keep coming.

Welcome to MIP Wolfy, ... ... ... Yep, I been where you are too ... Viet Nam claimed a lot of my friends from High School ... war is Hell ... but I am here and I got to the point I was about to die and join my old friends ... even put a 357 Magnum in my mouth with the hammer cocked ... for some weird reason, I didn't want to leave a mess for my wife to clean up and decided to get help instead ...

Sounds like you're completing 'Step 1' by admitting you are powerless over alcohol ... it's a start!!!

Love ya man and God Bless,
Pappy
