I have come to know that 'GoingtoTry' has reached the 1 Year sober mark ... ... ... A BIG Congrats to him ... keep up the good job ... 

 

(When I first started trying to sober up ... it took me 13 years to finally get one year without a single drink ... a modern miracle for sure ...)

Thank you folks for the positive replies. I can say with all honesty I have no desire to drink. Quite the opposite actually. The idea of being buzzed or drunk in any way makes me want to run the other way. Funny enough my wife and kids all drink and also smoke and I find it quite irritating now in a tiresome sort of way. Boggles my mind I could have let myself regress to the state I was in for so long and such an excessive state of consumption. Relieved to be done with it. I wish the same for everyone else who falls into the same abyss.

1 year is the bomb...I seriously cried tears of joy that day. All anniversaries are great, but that one was the one I counted ever day up to 365... Congrats!

Congrats GTT!  Like Pappy, it took me years to reach the 1 year mark.  Not a pre-requisite, just my story.
