I always think I'm "the exception" to the rule. I love that now that I'm in program, I get proven wrong every time I talk to another person in AA.
I was sharing my struggle with depression in sobriety with another member. She said she had gone through the exact same thing at the beginning of sobriety, and what had happened is her anti-depressant stopped working once her bio-chemistry changed in sobriety. I had never even thought of that. I immediately made an appointment and got new medication. I'm already noticing improvement.
What I've learned is 9 times out of 10, when I got to someone in AA with a problem, their story reflects my own. And to listen for the solution. :)
