Boy ain't that the truth. I chased that material dream and wound up near bankrupt, financially, physically, spiritually, and mentally. A sober bottom that needed to be hit.
I can't even count the number of people I've seen that come into AA with the intention of getting there life together...Get the job...the car...the apartment...the partner...And then taking care of their recovery. It doesn't work. It's been my experience...The ones that make it...Take care of recovery first....And then get their life together. Much better results....From what I have seen.
