Collateral damage

Ever have one of those ah-ha moments when you realize that things have changed and you didn't recognize it til this moment?  Just had one of those.  I have recently shared some e-mails with a couple of local folks in AA and the things shared were, in my opinion, some high quality spiritual snippets.  I was just thinking about starting a list - perhaps we could share with a group instead of just one on one.  In addition to the two people I had already swapped e-mails with, there is one other who I think would enjoy it.

Then it hit me: they're all men.  I'm trying to figure out how long ago it was that I gave up trying to be friends with men and I've got this list of people I enjoy talking to and sharing with in the program and they're all guys.  Hmm... I must have been working on some other part of my personality and 'developing the ability to be friends with men' is collateral damage. :)

P.S. And what is really cool - especially because we're sharing spiritual concepts and ideas with complete respect for each others belief systems, there is a Christian, a Buddhist, a Taoist and an atheist.  Gave up building walls - building bridges now.

Thanks for your share Angell ... your KEY phrase here to me was:

Gave up building walls - building bridges now.

That says a whole lot ... about the changes we're experiencing today!!!
