Hi. How ya all doing? It's Thursday. My home group meets tonight. It's actually in my home, too. It's an old kitchen party style big book study. There's always apple pie or cheesecake. Well sometimes it's just peanut butter cookies, but we eat and read the book and laugh and cry and pat each other on the back so it's nice. It's not a big group but that's ok because my kitchen isn't that big either. Tonight is a special night. One of our new members has been sober for 2 months. We're one of those groups that presents chips and medallions. Ordinarily, we don't have a 2-month chip, but Donna - that's her name - she's pretty excited because she's never been sober for 2 months before. I been sober over 16 years but I remember those early days. So this morning I went to the noon meeting downtown because I know they have 2 month chips. I figured I'd buy one from them and surprise her tonight. That group is a biiiigggg group and they go through a lot of those 2 month ones so they were out. Their new ones are on order but they gave me something else instead, something that they use when they run out of chips. It's a bronze 2-month medallion. I can't wait to see the look on her face when she gets that little reminder. And just to make it a bit more memorable I whipped up a triple chocolate cake that I plan to decorate with her name and a couple of candles. we'll sing happy birthday and I'm sure it will be very very cool. At least, that's the plan.

Doing well StPete. I was offline for a while. That's basically why I wasn't here. Working as a condo cop. Got a little community outreach thing going on.
The meeting went well last night. I'm not much for decorating cakes, but she was very polite about that part.
Area 86, huh. Yeah that's only about 1500 clicks from Area 82. Bit of a hike home. LOL.
