Attended the Sunday version of my home group this morning and the topic took off from the reading of the day for the "Reflections" daily reader...self pity and pity party and martyrdom. Most of the fellowship are mid and old timers and yet we have the several newbies listening to the old timers laughing at ourselves remembering all the whining and cry baby tactics and self martyrdoms we use to engage in with monotonous, nauseous regularity until we learned it wasn't all about us and that trying to one up another alcoholics whining with a sadder story made sponsors cringe and counselors rich. I love to look back at the process and laugh at the miracles of honest self discovery. I use to whine and was almost professional at it. One of the things that cured it for me was some in the fellowship asking me when they caught me trying it "Do you want cheese with that whine"? LOL... We had an hour of great recovery shares this morning and even the newbies were relaxed. Thank you God for this chance to recover.
"Do you want cheese with that whine"? That is hilarious...... And while I am at it, let me tell you about my sad story.... oh, never mind...my 1,000+ postings on here say it all.
Living here in 'cheese land' where our local fair is actually called "cheese days" allows me to see just how 'cheesy' we are... but oh the selections of cheeses to go with the wine in unbelievably awesome! The only way to the other side of that cheesy beginning is to eat through it I guess :)

Oh is it hungry? ... I nearly failed English in college, and if it weren't for 'spell check' (which obviously missed this one), then I'd be blu8ndering all over the place ... okay, well, I STILL DO, BUT USUALLY ON PERPOSE, lol ...
