Not yet. Real recovery 19August 1988. First AA meeting 13 April 1988. Another good few months of solid drinking to come before the turning point. The oldtimers never disturbed my drinking in those days. No phone calls. Nothing. Just me and the bottle, until I could not drink anymore.

You were beaten to that state of reasonableness that they talk about in the book. Alcohol is the great persuader. I don't think any of us get here Gonee...Until we are completely hopeless.
