Visited mum yhis afternnon and she was fast asleep. My sister looks absolutely drained too. Went back this evening and mum had woken up and is looking well for an 88 year old. Staff have no concerns and she responds well to gentle teasing. She's determined to get back home asap.. all very positive and me much relieved.

Might have posted this comment before, but it doesn't show
Yo guys, you bring a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat. When i cry out for help, even though I don't know I'm doing it, you're allus there, you allus lift my heart up.
Sometimes I don't like what you say, sometimes I do. Always, always, it's welcomed and useful.
Stayed in an expensive, cold and unwelcoming fleapit of a hotel last night.
Just me and Aerosmith, sittin' in Mum's house, done three hours productive work, had a look at how to build an access ramp to the front door, now just chillin before I go back to visit. Worth every inch of the 400 mile round trip just to see my mum smile.
Didn't realise just how scared I was for her until I hugged her and told her I love you Mum.
It being Mothering Sunday over here too.
