When you're home by yourself you're behind enemy lines

I'm an egomaniac with an inferiority complex

A critic is a person who goes onto the battlefield after the battle has been fought and shoots the survivors

I need to put  things in perspective because I have a disease of perception

My biggest  problem was bottles of the two-legged variety

If I could drink  socially I'd get drunk every night

If everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane

If it wasn't for denial my life would be shit

You cannot save your ass and your face at the same time.

The world ain't gonna kiss my butt just because I'm getting sober."

Phillip,
I've fried too many brain cells to understand all of your posting, even though I read it twice. I do love your little squirrels.

Reminds me of that movie with the 'dueling banjos' in it ...

I tried to teach myself how to play "dueling banjos" on the guitar. My bf has a signed one by one of the ZZ Top members and I am surprised he let my drunk a#* use it. However, he did and I did. The drunker I got, the better I sounded (ha! to myself). I think there is a video floating around here somewhere with me playing either Dueling Banjos or The Sound of Music. Although it would be funny in a way to post it, I think we all have enough memories of drunken foolish behavior.

OK, when I unearth it through the piles and piles here, I will. I found it during one of my few sober moments, however, while I was still into the drinking and always was hungover if not drunk. I thought, damn, I thought I played so much better than that the night before. I was wrong about my singing, too. I had delusions, illusions of being the next Dolly without the mega-boobs. That was a big "Hee-Haw"! Maybe I had a shot of being the next Minnie Pearl, though.

Growing up here in Nashville, Minnie Pearl was always a big hit on the Grand Ole Opry ... always left the 'price tag' on her hats, LOL ... ... ... (cause she WANTED others to know what she paid for it, LOL)

P.S.    Dolly was always a big hit too ... ... ... for reasons I need not describe ... she was/is a double big hit, LMAO at myself ... ... ...
