Seems I've veered away from the most important people in 'the room' and become focused on myself again when will I ever learn? There are some brand new posters here to MIP! Brand newbies to AA too. You are the most important to us.
If you are new here to this forum, please excuse our recent rants. This is not the typical vibe we would normally give off. Maybe it's going to be a full moon? I don't know.
This is my family here. Each person here is so important. You, as the newest addition to our family of choice here, are the most important people in the room. Our focus here is on making sure recovery is available to those still suffering. We aren't here to fight anyone or anything. We are still only human and no one is perfect. The steps teach us how to cope with the type of stress you've witnessed here recently, and rest assured, most of us will go on to live a very happy life (and probably afternoon too). Thanks to this program of recovery, we have the capability to look at our faults square in the eye, and work through them together.
There is something special about MIP. It's a place where you can ask questions that we otherwise wouldn't be brave enough to say out loud. Read - listen - learn... anytime... any day. We can practice life here. Sometimes we fall, but we pick each other back up again. I came here to MIP first, before going to a live meeting. The good folks here steered me in the right direction with love and patience, and an overwhelming welcome in spite of my fear and shortcomings this past year and a half. I doubt I would be alive today if I hadn't stumbled into this virtual "room".
I hope you will see there are many hands extended to you - and there is help. You never have to be alone again. We are a family here, and the light is always on.

Tasha you are beautiful from inside out......There is no need to change your avatar but the great thing for US is WE have a choice. Continued blessings and beautiful spirit in responses in trying situations, Its how WE carry our message that's important and you are a fine example...Can you put a little more color by your left ear there???

All I'm going to say Tasha, is that avatar is wrong for you for so many reasons ... Please change it back ... It's hard for me to be serious when I look at your new avatar ...
Don't let someone else make you so 'self-conscious' that you cater to their thoughts and ideas ... you need to just 'be yourself' ... it's the easiest path ...

Pappy, do not encourage tipsy with his ill conduct by aligning the song JAD put up with him. There is absolutely no reason to do that. We don't need or want that kind of drama here. See post by me entitled "board rules".
If you choose to keep your current avatar Tasha, I shall use it as a most fitting reminder that I should always look beyond the surface for the beauty hidden within.
Hey guys - I was trying to do this: www.youtube.com/watch D on't know how to swap over to the play part. Anyway - I'm just goofin around - not trying to please anybody - just laugh!

Hey Tasha, ... How did you find Tipsy's theme song ??? ...
Oh, and thanks for switching your avatar back ... that just 'feels right' now ... like the REAL you ... AND it won't get 'mrpeel' all fired up and crazy by reminding him of his 'flirt' ... ... ... OH my goodness, bad mental image, baaaaad mental image!!!

Just trying to find the 'fun and levity' that you alluded to in your post John, sorry ... ... ... AND I applaud you for your post John, a little overdue perhaps, but great post, none the less ... I still feel this is the best site around for recovery ... and I want to thank you again John for this site ...
Love ya and God Bless,
Pappy
