The ego is a self-justifying historian, which seeks only that information that agrees with it, rewrites history when it needs to, and does not even see the evidence that threatens it.
--Anthony G. Greenwald

One of the larger struggles facing us is relinquishing, the need to be right always. Only when we've given up the struggle do we understand that the battle is finally won. We come to see nonresistance as the quintessence of the power play. However, our need to be right is the point of real concern, and in order to let go of this need, clarity regarding the human condition is in order.

Few of us are sure of our worth, our necessity to the better functioning of the human universe. We falter and fear our mistakes, certain that they will enlighten our fellow travelers about our inadequacies. And so we bully others, covertly or with great poise, into accepting our viewpoints. We believe that ideas shared by others are more valuable, and thus our own value is assured. No one is served by the exercises in truth.

Might the time finally come when I will understand that my individual existence is all the proof I need that I am right - without the struggle? I can practice this belief today.

Yeah. I'm good. Reading here and listening in meetings mostly rather than talking. Some lessons needed to be re-learnt, and some just needed to be learnt. Also life is doing 150mph around corners right now. I'm backing off what I can, but for everything I manage to avoid / handball / put on the back burner, it seems that another 2 or 3 pop up that I have no choice about.

Not complaining though. Just a little wowed by the pace of things.

The meetings here are really good. Numbers are up and people are travelling further and more regularly than they were a couple of months back. I'm starting to feel the sense of awe that I had and then lost somehow back around Xmas. That's nice and it's what I need.

Hey Frodo, ....

Don't let life go so fast that you make bad decisions ... slow down ... if we try to keep up with others, then we'll wake up one day and life will only be a memory ... wouldn't it be a shame to 'miss it' ??? ... You know what they say, slow down and smell the roses ...

One step at a time ... One day at a time ... ... ...

Glad to know your able to get back to your regular meetings ... good job ... but by all means, slow down and 'Take It Easy' ... ... ...

Like I said: backing off where I can.

But I think it'll be situ normal (or as normal as it gets for me) starting the first week of July.

One day at a time, how important is it, and take it easy are the watch words.

Blessing on you, Pappy.
