He knows what's best for me.

I woke this morning to see the world had been softly blanketed by 3 inches of snow, and it was so perfectly white out the window, I almost screamed in horror!

People, places and things do not always behave and dance around happily for me as I'd have them do.

A few winks earlier we were at the skating rink, and my son would not put on his first pair of real old fashioned roller skates.  The brabble surrounding the group of kids was not germane to the mood of the disco lights and shiny streamers twirling in all their aged glory from the ceiling.

The wee ones were up too late on a school night, but it was the school that decided to hold their fundraiser on a Tuesday night, not me.  Hrmf, they just don't do it my way.

As I sat down this morning to read meditations, I realized that the books lay next to the furnace vent which had been running due to the chilly April temperature, and they had a warmth which was ever so comforting.  I decided I will always lay them next to the vent from now on.

The littlest ones will get to sleep in due to weather conditions and the school's call for a 2 hour delay this morning.

So it seems, I will have time to take a moment to read my warm books, and tear away a few of the pages in my mind of dissatisfaction, and replace the words with knowledge that the courtesies I have, come from a greater power than I can comprehend.

I have to agree:  There are moments that the evidence is so overwhelming, I am embowed and cradled by the love, feeling cherished and protected by Him.

Thanks Tasha. You still got snow. We are just beginning to see a little bit of winter here in South Africa, down to about 12 deg celcius from a warm 22.
Good to see you so involved.

It was actually a pretty cold March and 1st part of April here in GA also.   There is nothing like the the spring up north...to see everthing come to life and the birds come back is amazing.  You will really appreciate being sober for the event this year!
