I was glad to attend the online meeting last night. Several.folks showed up. Several shared their ESH about the topics: emotional sobriety and let go, let God.
I usually don't go to meetings on Saturdays. But, hey, it was right here.
Hi Tanin! Thanks for being at the meeting with us! I thought the topics were so right on time for me... reaching back and remembering my early days, trying to grow up in AA and learn how to do the adult swim; Mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Trust me, in the early days I surely wouldn't have been willing to admit that I was emotionally retarded! LOL
The meeting didn't have the turn out I had hoped for from the group members, but I'm still hopeful that it will change and the meetings will continue to grow as time goes forward. I would hate to see us end up back where we have been over the past few years regarding our online AA meetings. That is what happens when the group doesn't support its group meetings. They tend to die into non existance. Our online meetings are so good, very much a great tool for anyone's recovery tool box that they can pull so much from, that I hope we don't see a repeat of the past, and that those who haven't shown up, will, and those that have, will keep returning.
I thought it was good too. If more people would just come check one out I'm sure they would want to come back. Relax in the comfort of you home meet new people and share in recovery. Can't beat it with a big ole stick.
