Thank you Tasha I love that too. I go to a meeting every sat night called no reservations.we burn sage and pass the talking stick. One of the readings is this prayer.

Ojibwa Prayer

Oh Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the winds And whose breath gives life to everyone, Hear me.I come to you as one of your many children; I am weak... I am small...I need your wisdom and your strength. Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes everbehold the red and purple sunsets.Make my hands respect the things you have made, and make my ears sharp so I may hear your voice.Make me wise, so that I may understand what you have taught my people and The lessons you have hidden in each leaf and each rock.I ask for wisdom and strength,Not to be superior to my brothers, but to be able to fight my greatest enemy, myself. Make me ever ready to come before you with clean hands and a straight eye, So as life fades away as a fading sunset, My spirit may come to you without shame.

This sounds like something that would also come straight out of my Unitarian Universalist upbringing. Also in line with Quakers and some pagans. It is at the root of most religions but buried underneath tons of dogma. Of course we know that AA promotes these values without the dogma attached also.

Thanks for posting this Tasha. I like it.

That's great , Tasha. I've come across this several times, and love the beautiful simplicity.

Hey BillyJack, ... ... ... the Ojibwa Prayer is GREAT!!! ... I love it ... I'm going to have to copy this one too ... it gave me a moment that was ... weird, ... ... an 'over-whelming' sensation there for a moment ...

I'm going to print this off and post it on my board ... Thanks a million ...

I LOVE the artwork! (the GO piece) I can't tell if it's paint on canvas or a masterpiece of digital filters and techniques...Tasha--any info on the artist?

Mahalo Akua o ke Natasha e Billyjack....Thank you God for Natasha and Billyjack for you have used them timely in my journey.  Thank you for the words from our elders and the promise these words bring and the hands which have brought the message.

You both may not understand and then you might that you can and have been affirmations from my own Father of all creatures from whom I have recently asked for direction and courage to change the things I can.

Ho`omaika`i  Be blessed  Mahalo Thanks   (((hugs))) smile
