I had a chance to buy one of those red Big Books but I didn't because some kid named Bill had scribbled all through it ......... j/k.

All the best.

Nice book.  Quite the collector's item.

But I'm kinda short this week. And it doesn't have the dust cover...

For those who don't have $5K+, you can still get a reproduction of the first edition, first printing Big Book. About $15 hardover and $4 paperback at Amazon.

I have a copy and it is quite useful for checking out changes in the book. A lot of people think that the BB has never been changed since 1939. It has been, several times. Some of the changes are quite interesting to learn about.

Very interesting Ron. Looks in pretty nice condition. Just curious if the original owner stayed sober or what the story was? Where they from the Midwest?
