AA and NA retreat.

I just got back from a weekend 4&5th step retreat, which our group combined both the alcoholics and drug addicts. It was such a wonderful experience and a huge eye opener for me. Mostly it was laughter, fun and games, underneath all the seriousness that was shared. One of our members had to be rushed to the ER for treatment, but he had the hospital staff laughing with all his antics. I had to wait 3 hours for him to have a drip and then brought him back at 2:30 am, and guess what, the sharing continued with the "sick" fellow.

We can live life after addiction.

Good to hear from you, Gonee! I'm going to my first retreat in the spring- I've heard great things about this one in particular and am looking forward to it. Glad to hear you had a good time, drama and all:)
