Thank you Lukin! Yes, the small subtle experiences mean so much more today! Thank you for the reminder to keep an open mind so I can see and feel them.

Last night, I came home (at a normal time), made her pancakes for dinner while she kept me company in the kitchen and told me about her day. Then I drove her to a hockey game, ran an errand and waited for her in the parking lot outside the rink and read a book. On the way home, we had a great conversation about the game she had just seen and how much she loves her school. When we got home, she thanked me for taking her.
To an alcoholic, this entire scenario is a miracle (daughter wants to talk to me, mom doesn't run off and sneak time at a bar during an 'off' hour, and is there & sober when daughter needs a ride home).
Beautiful, those are the precious times we can truly bond and be ever so grateful for LIFE free of active addiction, , something that at one time may have seemed so distant. Blessings of this day
