I just come back from a road trip, which my wife and I decided to do last year.This is Knysna on the east coast of South Africa. Some of the most beautiful places in the world. We did a 4000km, six day trip with our car. I am grateful that I can enjoy these journeys in sobriety. I was 3 years sober in 1991, when I took this same trip with my wife and children. We also did the South African National Convention in Cape Town that year. If we remain on the 12 steps of AA, then we can take the same trip some 22 years later, still sober.
