Yep, ... one of the 'by-products' of getting sober is finding money coming out your 'ying-yang' ... LOL
One of the oddest things I ever saw was at a meeting in the Nashville, Tn. area ... this was about 12/13 years ago ... a guy in the AA group, pretty new to the program, stood up while he shared at the meeting, and threw 3 --- $100 dollar bills on the table ... "he said here, this is what I had left over this week because I didn't buy any booze, thank God for this program, maybe someone here can use it ... I don't need it because I'm teaching myself a lesson about the small fortune I was just p!ssing away ... "
I never heard what happened to the money ... I never saw anyone pick it up ... (I hope it made it to the basket)
P.S. this guy was in the 'country music' business and dressed the part ... I expect he had expensive tastes in liquor ... just so you know the rest of the story !!!

Its been about a week now since I quit drinking I can't belive how much money I have in my bank! I was usually going out 3 - 4 x per week spending from 30 - 60 bucks plus at least 6 tall boys to get me started.
Give your self an instant raise and quit drinking! Plus i'm being more productive! woot woot i'm pumped.. mind you i've been drinking way to much COFFEE!!!
Aye, what with the 800 odd bucks a month I'm not drinking, and the 400 odd bucks a month I'm not smoking anymore (quit the smokes a couple of months ago), I figure I'm 12 - 15 K better off a year.
Oh, and I'm making OK money too which wasn't the case in my drinking days.
It's a strange feeling seeing my bank balance and it having more than a couple of hundred in it for more than a day or so.
Well I was at the mall and I went to buy a pair of shoes they where a 100bucks and I actually thought to myself wow a 100$ thats a lot to spend.. but then I thought . .well I didn't go out this week and started decducting the six packs I would have bought and the boots went on sale fast.
