i know it is Sunday, Christmas morning, and I know, we are taught to just stay in the Day we are in, (Just for Today). But my thinking is clearly around, not drinking today, going to a Meeting and REALLY looking forward to Monday morning.

I have been a little slow on the draw this year, when I get off the computer, I am going to wrap three gifts, (that is more than last minute stuff) but it beats wrapping them tomorrow, the day after Christmas.
I will be celebrating this holiday next weekend with my family (my son), and that is a new one.
Just wanted to check in, wish everyone well, and remember what my Sponsor told me a long time ago, "No matter what happens on any given day, if you are an Alcoholic, and you didn't drink, the REALITY is that you have had a PERFECT Day". I always remember that, when everything seems to turn inside out.
Counting my Blessings, a warm Bed, Food to Eat, freedom to Prayer to my High Power as a personal Choice. Keeping it Really Simple today.
Just saying "Hi" Toni...and pretty well in the same boat today...empty house...2 kids working..Nice fire going..puttering with housework stuff...taking a few taxi calls..and just chilling with a Higher Power..looking forward to a meeting tonight..
Quite easy to look at the negative...but better to look at the positive..
Its easy to look at who we dont have..and what we dont have.. in our lives..
Its better to look at.. who we do have..and what we have..and let A higher Power take care of the rest of it...
I dont mind spending time alone...but some days..its just not a good thing..this is one of those days...
Looking forward to Monday also...Keep smilin!!

Hi Toni and Phil...wishing you both a peaceful, sober day. I am not thinking in the future,just relaxing in today. Yesterday was hectic, to say the least...but I didn't go looking for the sherry bottle. We celebrated last night as my daughter couldn't be here today. So, today ,it's eat leftovers and chill. I am actually watering the winter grass today, it's 50 degrees in the TX panhandle...thank You, God.
I have had problems with my PC, it just keeps going off, my son is home said he would help me clean it up and show me some things I've been wondering about.Mom is not doing much better,but she was glad to see the kids.
Hope everyone else is having a grateful and sober day.
