I was just reading a bunch of older post from my start 7 months ago. I was suprised to see alot of people no longer post or visit the site. I hope they are all happy sober and safe during this holay season, and if not I hope the do find their way to soberity - aa or not- all I know is I can not beleive we all lived that life style. Good night everyone!

Some people move on, it's a fact of life. I'm just glad we had the chance to meet. I hope the holidays are good to them as well. And maybe we'll meet again real soon, I hope. That's my holiday prayer to all of you. Have a good night.

Amen, Mr.David. AA gives us the chance to move on with our lives and to do good out in the world as well as in AA...and I am grateful for the chance!

Flipper, my sponsor tells me that I should be grateful for the time I got to be with them...regardless of where they have flown off to. That always brightens my day and it keeps me in the present. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime...and the lifetime ones are rare indeed. But I treasure them all...they teach me what I need at the time. Hope your night was refreshing!

Confession of an ebb & flow poster, a periodic view-only reader, an occasional site-vacationer, a don't care to share "today" indulger, and basically a lack of consistency-type-of member: guilty.

But the good news is, we don't have to be or do a certain way and, indeed, each one, whether passing through, staying visible/vocal for the long-haul, or dropping in & out & in &....well, anyway, the good news is somehow the principles get practiced and the message gets carried, and new hope is found, and nourished, and supported, and we all are accepted-no shame, no blame--to give and take to and from each other. Our personalities are different and it's hard when people we've come to "know" are gone, but there is also an underlying strength, I think, that evolves somehow because the nature of the "river" is that it is always moving.

Leeu.....it is good to see you flowing instead of ebbing  biggrin

Yes Flipper, there is a lot of ebb and flow with online sites. I consider online stuff just a supplement to standard F2F meetings and sponsorship, so I don't think that people drifting away means they are drinking or in a bad space necessarily

I wonder what happened to Stepchild? Hrm. Oh yeah. I know what happened. He was driven off by another member who supposedly has some time in sobriety making pot shots at him. It's sad the people leave MIP. Especially after some have been here a long time.
