Ok, so I know I have thought this before and I know many of you have thought this......the 'how am I going to have fun without alcohol' or the 'will I be fun without it'. Alcohol for many gives that feeling of relaxation in a social setting, giving them more extrovertedness. I have been wondering how it would be for me. I have been out and and about with friends and done things that I would normally have been drinking at....but this is different. last night I was at a concert with a bunch of friends. It was different in this situation because it was at a bar where everyone, but me, was drinking and I gotta tell you it was fun! I danced and danced with all my girls and I made my boyfriend get up and dance with me and even he had fun. I proved to myself that I can have fun without the alcohol and I liked it!!!! I didn't need the liquid courage after all in that social setting.

By the way, almost a month down!!!

I agree. Who needs liquid courage anyway? We'll always have each other.

Hi Alias, ... Congrats on having fun without the alcohol ... Hey, what you said above about not having fun without alcohol?
I just wanted to say, I always had what seemed like more fun when I drank, but MY problem was I COULD NOT STOP at 1 or 2 or 20 ...

I may have fun to start with, but I ended up screwing things up and usually hurting someone else's feelings ... I have plenty of fun now
without the drinks ... and the BIG PLUS??? ... I REMEMBER it the next day ... LOL

wouldn't like to count how many films, gigs, parties, etc. I only remember the first part of - I remember spending more than a few bob to see Paul Jones Blues Band and falling dead drunk asleep half way through teh first set, same happened at Clapton, fell asleep through teh support act, but managed to stir for the main event.

I've seen lots of bands on teh way up and cannot remember the next day what I heard the night before........
