My name is Jessica and I am currently doing research on the impact of the built environment on the recovery process. Please take a moment to click the link below and take my survey. All information provided is completely confidential. Your time and information is greatly appreciated. All responses are for academic research only.
Don't wast your time. It's so badly worded it will have no use to the treatment field--and by extension--people in treatment settings-whatsoever. Just sayin'.
Yes, Plus there are sampling errors. Of course people in AA are going to respond that AA is important. I took the survey though only because even if it's not of use to the recovery field, it may be of use to the student who is at least trying to work for the betterment of recovery.
Generally speaking, the environment of rehabs is nice...almost too nice. I have heard more people say they really "got" the first step when they were sitting in jail as opposed to a hotel like rehab center. So while I would "prefer" a nice surrounding to recover. I know that it's not necessary and it probably just fuels the entitled attitude most of us have when we enter into recovery.

Also, J Earp, We generally reject surveys because we are here for recovery and don't want to be turned into guinea pigs. The thought of "being studied" might turn newcomers away. Hence, I am betting that even 1 more post trying to shore up volunteers is going to get your account banned here. 2 is enough. Good luck with your studies.
