Thanks Gam, No meetings yet, but luckily I'm still not drinking. I've had plenty of excuses to have a drink that's for sure. I'm getting by though. I called AA again today, someone is supposed to fax me a copy of the local meeting list.
Working on getting my daughter back into town and moved home. She's still wrapping things up with school and she says she hasn't been using. Talked to her this AM.
The rest of my life right now and has been for a month now is a total train wreck. It has spiraled worse than I ever thought, you probably don't want to know. The pain seems unbearable at times. No one can truly understand unless they have been through this. Having someone who you love immensly, from the bottom of your heart, do this to you is devastating. D
Howdy Doug...dont know what your situation, consists of...but most of us have likely been where youre at,..in some way...or the same way...
We earned the right to be here...and left a lot of destruction, and devistation..in our path..
We know..that what happened..we never meant to happen...it was all alcohol..and the isms that go with it..
However..we are responsible for our actions..and theres usually a price to pay..unfortunately..
Others in our lives..have had to make choices for them...even tho, some of those choices..might have come from..just being tired of being in the destructive picture..and usually theres a lot of anger, and resentment involved..and we cant fix a lot of it..
The only one we can get fixed is us...somedays.. Im still trying to find the right wrench..to fit the nuts in my space cadet head..
We didnt get here over night..my freind..its usually takes a number of days..sober..to get our lives, in some kind of order..and some times..it isnt, always..the way we wish it to be...
We do the best we can..to stay sober..one day at a time..and try to let some kind of a Higher Power..to guide us through..the tests..we hafta get through..but ..Get through them, we do...and even with the pain, and turmoil..you are experiencing..which is no fun...ride it out Buddy..just ride it out..
We didnt get sick over night...and everything isnt going to get all better, overnight..time takes time. Beleive in the program--the process..and in yourself..whatever happens..itll be ok...as long as one doesnt pick up that first drink..
You hang tough..our freind..and hang in..
Blame is not an option..its a cop out..
My door doesnt swing both ways.:)..but I love yu buddy..you are not alone..email me anytime....I care about you..we all do...the same way others cared for us..when we first got here..
