There are these two women in their 40s who have two decades a piece in sobriety, we call them Laverne & Shirley (nicknames) . Today, they showed me how to have fun in my recovery by driving me to the blueberry fest today. They each bought me one small gift of my choice. And then gave me a scrap book and took a poloroid of the 3 of us. They told me to keep this as a recovery journal. I could get my motivation and hope from good entries and learn my lessons from the less inspiring entries. Have any of you kept an AA journal/blog/vlog/record? How long did it go on for? Did you find ituseful?

Yes, on the first two 2 counts. Regarding the 3rd question, though: How long did it go on for? That part is rather easy also...it's still going. I mean, why give up on a good thing, kind of like sobriety. So enjoy yourself more, not to mention those poloroid moments as well. It's memories like these that never seem to go unnoticed.

P.S. I love blueberries by the way. Have any pictures you might want to share?

Good for you...I'm sure one of them would be honored to be your sponsor...It's rare that someone declines and  usually if it happens it has to do with how many sponsees they already have or scheduling problems...Nothing personal...Glad you are keeping an open mind....Good things are ahead!

OMG Mr.David, they served blueberries in small bowls with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of Vermont maple syrup. It was freaking mind blowing.

Maybe you can attend next years fest. They boasted the ever hearty German food-- keilbasi/bratwurst/knockwurst/kraut (yumm.. Kraut & vinegar) and potatoe salad.

We even watched how the brewmeisters did it back in 1700, not that I learned anything though. But despite being in recovery, watching him real life demonstrate life back then was priceless.

I was hoping they'd kind of adopt me into their life... Thinking of askin one of them to be my sponsor. New way of life... Here I come! (I guess this is that pink cloud closer was talkin about). And mark, if I can call you that, I think I read a few pages back that justadrunk used this during her 90x90... Looks like a good way to keep things fresh (not in place of face meetings though)
