This riddle has two puzzles.
Unscramble the words below, then take the letters from each word as instructed to form another word that is the answer to this teaser:
DOD Take letter 1
ONRUM Take letters 1,2 & 5
CROSITH Take letters 1,2 & 3
ERVNE Take letters 1,2
Unscramble the letters you collected... what do you get?
May the force be with you.

Tease? Oh, I'll give your brain quite the tease. Ready, here we go:
This has an answer, but it makes a nice puzzle for the mathematically inclined so I'm presenting it as a riddle.
You have a hypersphere of n dimension and you want a function which describes a non-geodesic line which never crosses itself in the space of the sphere. Questions:
What is the smallest number of dimensions such a sphere can have?
How do you construct the function that describes such a line?
Oh, and I'll send you the answer in pm, NO PEEKING!!!

Uhm, I just also wanted to add a side note related to recovery.
My ego has a super thin skin, more like a membrane. And I indulge in such superfluous riddles as this one to feed my ego into thinking that the ability to solve this riddle somehow means I'm smarter than the general public. In reality, having the ability to understand this question, or any of the previous riddles has never served a purpose in my life and doesn't actually mean anything significant.
So, since if I was not me and read this thread and knew I couldn't solve it, I would feel less than. I know this because I've spent many a night crying because I still don't understand algebra, you know, that pesky class you take in the 8th grade. So I just wanted to say that I spent 6 months trying to solve this riddle alone with a white board and a dry erase marker, and still had help from google. And that I don't actually think this riddle is worth even looking at unless your like me and delude yourself into thinking that finding the answer actually means anything. Cause in reality, unless your already mathematically inclined and plan on using this stuff for a living, this has never gotten me anywhere.

Will you slow down a bit for the old guys ??? ... ... ...
What word can be written right side up, up side down, backwards or forwards, read backwards and forwards and still remains the same. ... ... ... RACECAR ?

Yes, that's one answer. Can you think of more? Also, I also answer "palIndrome" not because it fits the requirements, but because the question is almost the definition. If you cut out the upside down part, I have discovered this palindrome sentence. The longest one I've found to date.
Are we not pure? No sir! Panamas moody Noriega brags. It is garbage! Irony dooms a man; a prisoner up to new era.
And a funnier one: A Toyota! Race fast, safe car! A Toyota!
But one that fits the entire riddle could also be "NOON"
also, a nut for a jar of tuna
Here is list of palindromes (some of them are rather entertaining)

And just to illustrate how ridiculous the answer to the math question was:
answer:
We only need a hypersphere of three dimensions S(3). Such a hypersphere can be represendted as the "surface" unit distance from a point in a 4-space.
Let a^2 + b^2 + c^2 + d^2 =1
All the points of that function will fill the hyperspere.
Now let
u*e^irx = a + ib
and
v*e^isx = c + id
where e + 2.71828 and i is the square root of minus one
and u^2 + v^2 =1.
As we vary x a nongeodesic line will be described in the fourspace and in the volume of the hypersphere. Now set r = 1. If s is a rational number the line will eventually return to it's point of origin and for some choices of s it may recross it's path. However if we choose s to be an irrational the curve will never recross or return because the same values of a & b, and c & d will never be coincident.
This curve has some interesting properties. Any part of it of the same length is indentical except for point of origin and orientation. And although it will never recross itself it will come arbitrarily closs to any given point.

Nah, I expected it Pappy, and not a exactly a great display of humility, which I'm afraid I don't have a lot of. Surprising that I stayed sober with such a small amount :P. I really think that Ruhig could pass their test. What I liked about it was their questions were interesting instead of trivial. Logic and problem solving, and pattern recognition. One thing that did help me greatly was taking a class to study for my FL state general contractors exam (16 hours long). The test is designed with one thing in mind, to make 96% of the people fail the first time they take it. The class that I took taught me how to take tests, and in particular the State's GC test. It was fascinating to understand the psychology of the test designers and the formulations of their trick questions. All multiple choice and front end loaded with the hardest calculation problems first to try and suck up all of your time and frustrate you. lol. I also passed the FL Real Estate exam, which was boring as hell.

I would take that test, but I already know that the more you have to prove your intelligence (me) the less intelligent said person is. Much like Tasha stated that the more she knew, the more she realized she didn't know, and so felt less of an urge to speak up. A concept I obviously don't have lol.
I'd fail anyways.

" What I liked about it was their questions were interesting instead trivial"
as you probably already know, but what has tripped me up alot, is that the reason they are pattern, not trivia based it because iq isn't how much you know, it's how fast you can accept and comprehend a concept.
Thanks for thinking I'd pass. And no... My previous comment wasn't implying anything other than my ego is getting in my way.

Maybe it would be better said that the more intelligent that people think that they are, the less likely that they're able to learn. There are lots of smart people out there, with low self esteem, that seek approval (me). Doesn't mean that they are not intelligent. I got a close friend in in the program who's a Dentist and a darn good one, he graduated from Georgetown U dental school. I'm a high school drop out (12th grade bored), that attended Catholic school through the 9th grade. My Dentist friend likes to tell me that I'm smarter than he is. I don't know if I could pass organic chemistry or physics with calculus. And the sad thing is that I don't want to try. What does mater is that when I do identify a goal, I go after it hard and study like a fiend to make sure that I won't fail, in a classic "all or nothing" fashion.
I never was, am always to be. No one ever saw me, nor ever will. And yet I am the confidence of all, To live and breath on this terrestrial ball. What am I?
