I found a great sponsor yesterday. She listens, and gives me direction. She's a professor, and has been sober 11 yrs, probably about 10ish yrs old than me, and has the big book memorized I think. I am very very very grateful. She's taking me to a womans meeting tonight!!!!! I didn't even know there was one! I'm suuuuuuuuuuuuper excited to see where these woman are hiding!
I have used this board and noon meetings, in replace of a sponsor for over 5 months now, but I finally have what I hear about in a sponsor. This changes everything. I couldn't have gotten this far with out all of you, and now you finally do not have to hear all my whining and crying! Someone else is SUPER lucky and gets to LOL! But I just wanted to say thank you!

Hey Tasha! blessings,,,there is nothing that surpasses face to face sponsorship. John always leaves the "light on" here at MIP and that is just another bonus to all the things WE do for our daily recoveries(i'll keep it on me here anyway)Your sharing is helpful to us all and WE can't get help if we don't seek it.....Keep working and stick in the solution...c ya soon.

Very happy for you. Have also enjoyed all of your threads and watching you grow, like several others that sprouted roots here first and then found their way in their local fellowship. Sound silly, but I think about you folks when I'm away from the board, working, driving etc...
Well I'm glad it isn't good bye cause that means we'll still hear from you. Congrats on the sponsor and finding the hidden women. You're doing great and sounds like the sponsor you found is awsome, I think anyone that knows the BB well and lives it is awsome.
Sounds like your new sponsor is just what you need. Good sponsors are hard to find so make the most of it and remember, her job is to help you through the steps to put you in touch with a power greater than yourself who will solve your problem. Wonderful sponsors are still only human and even though they are very special we shouldn't put them on a pedestal.
