Step 11.

I have nothing that God has not given me. Therefore I own nothing and I have nothing. Everything has been a gift from my Father in Heaven. If that be the case, where then is room for any anxiety and worry? Therefore Step 11 says: "Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying ONLY for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out."

Thanks. I understand it like this. I was saved. And lead to the path of AA. I have been given a reason to live, as before I just wanted to be dead. His will for me is to stay sober and carry the message to others. Without this I am nothing..

My heart has been filled with gladness and joy through the wonders of the 12 step program and everything within AA. My God has given me this and given me another day. :} He will always guide me but only if I turn to him in meditation and prayer.

I was on my knees on day Big Book in hand praying and needed answers to come. Maybe jump at me from within the pages ? needing to read something that help. I was in a terrible state..

I closed the book and calmness came as I slowly read the cover title. Alcoholics Anonymous. My prayers of thanks came with calmness as I came to understand that all I needed was within this book.

I became a Miracle that very moment. Given to me by my God of my understanding and the fellowship and love within AA.

Today I understand Gods will for me. I turn to him every day. Because at one point in my life I had shut him out. He know's why :} Drink !
