Earlier tonight we had fortune cookies with dinner. I saved mine until later. When the men got home from their meeting, one of them was telling me about an amends he had made at the meeting. The day before he had picked up his nine-month coin and another fellow who was his rival in a romantic relationship had picked up his 24-hour coin and the guy with nine months had secretly felt good about that. So, tonight, he approached the guy and apologized and said that he was out of line and the other guy had no idea what he was talking about of course but they ended up having coffee together after the meeting and it all worked out.

As my friend was relating his story, I pulled my fortune out of the cookie. I looked at it and said to my friend, Oops. I think I got yours instead. The quote on the paper said:

A sincere apology goes a long way toward amending a broken relationship.

Now, how cool is that?

About 2 weeks ago I got one that said, "You will soon witness a miracle." Got that one sitting by my bathroom mirror as a reminder. I think it was right because I've seen a lot of little miracles over the past couple of weeks.
