I am so glad I found all of you.  As my anniversary is nearing, I always find myself thinking of this journey of recovery I have been blessed with.  I always seem to reflect at this time of year what is was like then and where I am now.  I feel so blessed to have walked into AA.  The journey at times was difficult, but always rewarding.  For 12 years I worked as a counselor specifically with relapsers.  Recovery placed me there.  I had a child that doctors told me I would never have-recovery placed me there.  I went through pain and growth-recovery placed me there.  I changed careers-recovery again helped me.  I have been through joy, pain, complacency-but with the tools I have learned in AA , I come out on the other side a better person.  I have finally begun to "get" it, the message.  I feel so very blessed.  It is as easy as stop drinking, read the big book, get a sponsor, and work on yourself.  Thanks to all of you, and every member of AA for showing me a new way to live.  Life is so exciting.  Recovery is truly the best adventure I have ever dreamed of going on.  God willing, and with one day at a time, I will celebrate 17 wonderful years in AA on Dec. 13.
