Confident in Faith

May 1979, a young pup of 31 years, riddled with addiction from an early age in '59 (and before)I applied and got employment in a program for People With Disabilities(how ironic,as I was  the one with Major disabilities)It was only God's(of my understanding) grace and mercy that got me through the first 5 years of that job until I reached the emotional acceptance of complete defeat and surrendered from the more than 25 years of devastation to myself and others)(12/84)Yesterday,May 19th, after more than 33 years WE, my wife and I, resigned our positions from that employment and are preparing our journey to a new life in God's waiting ground(as guys in Band would call it) Pompano Beach ,Florida. Our anxieties and fears have all been replaced with our true Faith in the "care of the God of our understanding,as we made the decision and are leaving the results up to our Higher Power....A fervent and worked to the best of my ability and my wife's ,through her faith beliefs, 3rd/11 step application daily.Today my first day of being unemployed,I slept until 8;30 a.m and awaken feeling so grateful and truly blessed, that after so many years of being controlled by our illness and after more years than that "living in the solution" WE look forward to our journey ,together ,continuing to seek God's will for us and for me pursuing some goals that were sidelined by my early years of oblivion and sickness.....I wanted to share my ,our ,joy and our hope. If you are just coming around, new to the process or just coming back, each day WE are allowed, offers that opportunity to reach out and begin any healing that needs to occur and truly find and live a life better than WE  have ever known. To those who are already working their own process, thank you for continuing carrying our message, the message of HOPE and the promise of FREEDOM.   WELL TIME TO DO "NOTHING" ,HMMMM THATS INTERSETING AND UNUSUAL  :)Guided by God,through the application of our Steps in the the thoughts and deeds of all my affairs and giving back what truly was so freely given to me,I look forward ,to meeting new faces and others just like me in another part of the country, continuing to renew my spirit as best I can remaining close to my support group day by day..Have a blessed and productive day! GONNA SEE IF I  can get my wife out of bed ,already 9;30 a.m/. and she is loving it!!! IF GOD IS FOR US ,WHO CAN BE AGAINST US!!!!!smile

You remind me of what I did 19 years ago. I did not resign though. God had removed me from my job and gave me a whole new thing. So many got blessed as a result.
I pray that our God, will bless you my brother Mike. Your wife too.
