Have an emotional hangover from yesterday, but embracing the chance to stay calm, act and react in a better way, and enjoy small triumphs.
I'm seeing that yesterday was a very "sick" day for me in my head. I behaved selfishly. Over re-acted to my husband - didn't give him the space he asked me for - whined - begged - manipulated. Bleck, I can be better than this.

Hi Tasha, so glad you are doing better today. think of how you can make it a win/win when he asks for space, do something you enjoy, too. looking for the positive side of things makes our journey lighter... enjoy every day with your kids, they grow up so fast. God bless you, jj/sheila
Nice to hear your awareness of past negative emotions. The emotional hangover will pass. My Sponsor used to remind me, that you need to have a bad day every now and then, to know what a good day feels like. Early sobriety can be difficult, but a special part of the journey that you can look back on and gain perspective. Then pass it on to others. That's the nuts and bolts of the program. One Alcoholic working with another(12 step).
The description of your negative emotions reminds me that we suffer from a spiritual malady. Only a spiritual awaken will change this. The way to a spiritual awakening is a 12 Step program of action.
Morning and blessings of the day! WE continue to take personal inventory and we we are wrong WE promptly admit it! WE start our day, keep it on me, by giving thanks for being awakened by the God of our understanding, instilling the spiritual principles of our program into our actions, thoughts and behaviors, then we get up out of bed(not a garage or back of a car or an abandoned building) and with that GRACE, we seek to serve that Higher Power and others to the best of our ability! WE just don'tuse...Acceptance and awareness part of the blessing of our recovery because we face responsibilities and feelings, something we may have dulled for many periods of time. Thanks for positive message of hope.
