WOW...apparently this group is not for me!  But thanks anyway....I've had a great time.  I actually love going to the AA group I am able to make it to.  I was just curious...about the legal crap.  But I guess in your groups' eyes, I am cutting corners, not appreciating the chance I've been given, and taking the easy way out! 

I have done everything I am supposed to be doing and am liking the way things are going.  I will not need your online "SUPPORT"...if that is what your are calling this.

This on-line board and meetings are a great resource but they are no substitute for real face to face meetings.

Washington State is cutting you some slack by letting you get the help you need in place of prosecuting your DUI case. Why not take advantage of it?

Hi Lynn, this board is a good addition to, but not a substitute for, AA meetings or outpatient treatment. If you had time to drink, you've got plenty of time to go to meetings.

Nope, its not accepted by any judicial gov. agency that I know of.  I would ask them, not us... we are inclinded to try to get by with doing anything but what we are suppose to.  LOL

Lee the OP edited her initial post, which briefly asked if using this message board would count as participation per court order. She was granted deferment from prosecution on a DUI. She did not speak of attending meetings, and I find her edited parting shot message disingenuous. Hey Link, don't shoot the messenger. no

Glad to hear it.

Some court ordered folks find recovery the 1st time. I'm married to one.

Those that do, I've noticed, have something in common. They seem to forget about their legal requirements and make a decision to put recovery 1st in their lives - at least for awhile.

Hope that's you. If so, you have my apologies for sounding rude.

In either case, hope things work out and hope to see you come back.
