Hello fam away from fam,

Just thought I would post a note on stress.  Right now, I am going through some pretty stressful training that has pretty much involved about 14-16 hours a day of study/testing. It will last in pretty much the same mode for the next 15 days and then I will have practical testing after that.  Anyway, I have to say that my HP is very close, and the 24 hour a day book has kept it all in perspective.  Sometimes, stress can be a good thing because you turn to your HP very strongly, and the bond becomes tighter.

Without AA, I would not have been able to take deep breaths during the trials, and I am sure I would have turned to booze for excuses not to try and excell.  Thanks for being out there.

Tom

Tom...you have a strong program and you take it with you.  You also wear it well.   I've been sloganizing to relieve the stress; not only saying them but personalizing them and of course it works cause that is what I was told it would do.   In support.   smile

The best stress inhibitor I found is meditation. It's only through thoughtful reflection that I'm able to be at peace, and it's my higher power alone who allows me the privilege. So be at peace, my friend, and prosper as you will.

Any flying involved in this? I'm sure that you'll do well. One thing about us alkys, is when we learn how to turn our obsession (focus) on goals and projects, there is no stopping us.

Thanks all. Yes! Lots of meditation and lots of focus. We do have a strong program. I am very thankful to be a part of it.

So tonight I get a bit of a break, and I go out for a walk. While I am walking, I am keeping up with my spiritual thoughts, and I decide to walk behind a hotel on a path that is near a nice gazebo and pool area. At the pool area is a group of born again Christians singing very emphatically and I can tell you I drank in the moment. Thanks HP! Back to studying!
