A design for living.

At our group meeting last night, we were asked to reflect on the year 2011. My sharing was about continued inventory [step10], prayer & meditation to improve my conscious contact with God [ step 11], and working with others [ step 12]. I have done this for 23 years and it works.

God has restored me to sanity. When I was new in AA and tempted to drink alcohol, God had provided  a defense for me. As I improve my contact with God, He has revealed more & more of His wisdom to me. I have extended periods of peace & serenity.

If I am disturbed, work with another alcoholic solves that problem. But generally I aim for fit spiritual condition. Just like physical exercise keeps my body fit, spiritual exercise keeps my spirit fit. I try not to stress and worry.

God is in charge. I am glad that God can do for me what I cannot do for myself. It all started with a filmsy reed & weak belief 23 years ago.  Today it's a solid tree and faith that does not faint. AA is a design for living that works.

I sure take a lot of comfort in hearing words like " I have done this for 23 years and it works" One of the things that kept me coming back to AA was the old timers ( no matter if it was 1 year of sobriety they had or 30 years ) who kept repeating words that worked like a life ring for me. I don't have a solid tree and I don't have faith that does not faint. I sure am working towards asking for direction on a daily basis so that one day I might also wake up and realize I have been granted the peace and serenity that you speak of.

Good stuff Gonee! All three of those steps are about relationships, which are particularly troubling to the alcoholic, drunk or sober. We must continue to work on having happy healthy relationships with our Higher power, ourselves, and others in order to stay sober and lead an happy, loving, productive, and prosperous life.

The blog post about web gradient was incredibly helpful for my project. With a detailed explanation of gradient techniques, I was able to improve the visual appearance of my web design. The article provided examples of gradients, which helped me understand how to properly combine colors and create smooth transitions. I also learned about new tools and techniques that made the process much easier. Now my site looks more modern and professional, which has increased its appeal to users.
