Xmas present from the boss

Two dozen bottles of Crown Lagar. That's a premium beer in these parts and the sort of drink I would have crawled over my own mother to get at back when.

It turned out to be the perfect present for me because when I gave a dozen to my dad and a dozen to my granddad I got the enjoyment of making them happy, and I felt wonderfully light inside knowing that I could hand them over without a tinge of regret or remorse. Today I am sober and today that stuff has no hold on my soul.

Funny how things work, eh? A slab of beer that I can't and won't drink turns out to be the best present I've had in a while.

"a slab of beer" that's awesome lol. How many parking lots could I have paved with all of those "slabs".

Great Frodo. By not drinking them you gave yourself a very valuable gift, and by re-gifting them, you saved some scratch!!!
Merry Christmas!

Thanks  for positive message of recovery..."We will see that our new attitude toward liquor has been given us without any thought or effort on our part" IT JUST COMES!!!WE are not fighting it ,neither are we avoiding temptation!  As Ralph Cramden, that great  philosopher from my day used to say :HOW SWEET IT IS"!!!!smilesmile
