Today is my belly button birthday... 53 years old... alive, vibrant, active.. kickin' ass in the rooms of recovery ... and this month I will celebrate 22 years clean, on Dec, 21st.
God gave me a nice gift today... my girlfriend, who relapsed and almost died... was accepted into a treatment program this morning! You can watch a video with a bit of her story as well as how its effected me in it on this board called "Just one".
It's been a very hard year, in many ways, at so many levels, but I haven't found it nescessary to pick up, and burn my life to the ground...
As long as I stay close to the program, other alcoholics and continue to try to grow up spiritually, through daily application of the steps.... the rest of it will work itself out exactly the way it is suppose to.
Just for today.. my thoughts will be a bit wacko.. but crazy for a alcoholic like me is a upgrade from insane.
Happy Birthday John! I like your attitude and approach today. This Program is such a gift in so many different ways. Prayers sent your way for you and the misses.

I think there's an invisible principle of living...if we believe we're guided through every step of our lives, we are. Its a lovely sight, watching it work.
